I am a seasoned clinician with over 20 years’ experience working with adults and older adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, grief, loss, career fatigue and other life stressors. I think of therapy as a partnership between client and therapist. I especially enjoy working with individuals and couples that feel “stuck,” are in crisis, or who are going through periods of difficult life transition. Through active listening and practical solution focused guidance, I lead clients on a path towards growth, change, and greater self-acceptance.
I earned my degree in psychology, and a gap year with Jesuit Volunteer Corps in a social justice setting led me to social work. I use a systems approach, meaning I look at the personal, family, and life factors affecting your well-being. My background in foster care, crisis work, community-based care, and therapy gives me a collaborative, well-rounded perspective.
I work with men navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and career pressure. My approach is direct and practical — we identify what's keeping you stuck, build strategies that hold up outside the therapy room, and move. I draw on CBT, ACT, and the Gottman Method, and bring 10+ years of experience in mental health. My background includes a dual master's in Clinical Social Work and Outdoor Education. Therapy that's grounded and built for real life.
For the past 3.5 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading a multi-site inpatient unit, supporting individuals with persistent mental illness and substance use as they work toward stability and recovery. Now, I’m stepping into private practice and writing my next chapter. I’m licensed in Florida and passionate about making care accessible and meaningful. I’d love to connect—does this sound like a fit for you?
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience and particular expertise in trauma, anxiety, depression, and culturally responsive care. I received my doctorate degree at William James and my Masters at Boston College. My professional work has included working as a school-based clinician, and working at Boston Children’s Hospital, disseminating national trainings on best practices for providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health care to immigrants and refugees. I use evidence-based therapies while making space to explore identity, relationships, family, and culture. I especially enjoy working with young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, and questions of identity or belonging. I have particular interest in working with first-generation immigrants and people balancing different cultural or family expectations while figuring out who they are and what they want. Therapy offers a nonjudgmental space to talk openly, understand yourself and your patterns more deeply, and find ways to move forward that feel right for you.
