Let's find the words together. You may be carrying more than people realize, whether that's ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, burnout, or ongoing stress. You don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out.
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Certified Case Manager (CCM), and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), with more than 15 years of nursing experience across behavioral health, case management, dialysis, and nephrology. That background helps me see the whole person, including how physical health, medical conditions, and life stressors affect your mental health.
I offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive therapy, and objective ADHD testing for adults. I also welcome clients living with chronic kidney disease or receiving dialysis. Insurance coverage varies by plan.
Anxiety and perfectionism have turned your mind into a battleground. Your inner critic nitpicks every interaction, leaving you exhausted by thoughts of “Damnit, why can’t I just be better!” Painful memories get louder, no matter how hard you try to ignore them. Daily invalidations of your Latina, queer, or immigrant identity sting, and you feel isolated as you keep your suffering to yourself. You’ve tried everything: doom scrolling, drinking, and self-help books, but nothing has worked. You're left feeling hopeless and weighed down.
Hi, I'm Kathryn. I specialize in working with new moms and families as they transition into a new phase of life. Welcome to my practice.
I am passionate about walking through pregnancy and postpartum highs and lows with new moms. I do work with women at all stages of life from starting relationships and careers to the later years of retirement. I work also with men and with couples.
I work with teens, young adults, and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, substance use, identity exploration, family conflict, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you're feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what comes next, therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself and move toward meaningful change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely understood, supported, and accepted for who they are. Together, we build on strengths, develop practical coping skills, and explore the patterns that may be getting in the way of living a more fulfilling life.
I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can be honest, reflective, and fully themselves without fear of judgment. My goal is not only to help clients navigate current challenges but also to foster greater resilience, self-awareness, confidence, and connection.
I create a warm environment to work collaboratively on achieving your objectives. I've been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years. I specialize in relationships, anxiety, depression, fears/phobias, couples work, creativity, career enhancement among other goals. I have an eclectic treatment modality including psychodynamic, self-psychology, cognitive-behavioral, hypnotherapy and NLP.
I have been drawn to this work for as long as I can remember. I earned my Masters in Social Work at Loma Linda University and spent years inside child protective services and the custody system, where I saw how much pain families carry and how little space they are given to heal it. I became a licensed clinical social worker in 2012 and opened my own practice in 2021. Along the way I trained in EMDR, DBT, Internal Family Systems and somatic work, and I taught social work at the graduate level. That mix shapes how I sit with people today. I am not interested in managing symptoms and calling it progress. I want the people I
work with to feel genuinely different in their own bodies and in their own relationships.
I humbly share that I have spent the last 15 years studying, experiencing, and guiding both Eastern and Western medicine.
I have been working in private practice for a few years and before that I worked in non-profits with a variety of individuals and groups. I am the parent of two adult sons and have three grandchildren that I thoroughly enjoy spending time with. I have an educational background in the study of philosophy, spirituality and counseling psychology. I have experience with helping people with histories of trauma, severe mental illness, as well as, symptoms of anxiety and depression. I also have experience and some expertise with clients struggling with substance use.
